Sunday’s Plant-Based, Low Sodium Dinner

 

On the menu:

  • Portobello Mushroom Burgers
  • Air Fryer French fries
  • Homemade baked beans

  • Quarter-pound beef hamburger with cheese
  • French fries (oven fries made from a commercial brand)
  • Bush’s baked beans

You can do this! A few adjustments were all it took to make a meal that tasted great and had 1/3 the calories, cholesterol, and sodium!

Marinade the mushroom caps in balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic and onion for 1 hour

I grilled them on my George Foreman grill, but be warned: one slid right off because of the angle of the grilling pan! It shot right out of the pan…luckily, I caught it.
